Meadow Park Sculpture Trail

Meadow Park Sculpture Trail – 9 sculptures of varying sizes

This project was initiated by a community group who had secured Tesco bags funding for me to make the sculpture trail. It was great fun to do! It gave me a chance to exercise some of my other artistic disciplines, writing and illustration!

I wrote a short children’s story about an owl called Ruby, who was looking for the right home in a woodland. I then put the story into poem form, and created a sculpture design for each verse.

I installed the trail to follow a path that covered most of the woodland, which gave the public the incentive to explore the woodland.

Plans are to publish a book to accompany the trail.
